Hinko Juhn

Hinko Juhn was a prominent Yugoslav sculptor, particularly recognized for his work in ceramics. His artistic education was formally undertaken at the Arts & Crafts College in Zagreb, where he laid the foundation for his future career. Additionally, he expanded his skills at the International Academy in Florence, further refining his craft. Juhn also sought specialized training in ceramics, attending classes in the Czech Republic, Germany, and at the prestigious Vienna School of Applied Arts.

Upon returning to Zagreb, Juhn actively participated in the local art scene by showcasing his work at the Spring Salon. This exposure not only highlighted his own artistic abilities but also provided an opportunity for him to share his knowledge with others. Through his teaching, Juhn played a significant role in introducing ceramic techniques to a new generation of Yugoslav artists, thereby contributing to the development of the region's art landscape. His dedication to both creating and teaching helped establish him as a notable figure in Yugoslav ceramics.
